Santhosh Prathap, who played the lead in Parthiepan’s Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam, is back after a brief interval to don the lead in Dhayam. He has proved his mettle as a sensible actor the interesting thing about the film is that out tries its hand at an new attempt. Debutant filmmaker Kannan
Rangaswamy gathers guts to try novel attempts in his very first film. The whole movie is being shot inside a room. There is thrill, emotion and romance inside four walls. The screenplay makes a lot of difference. What begins as an engaging stuff could have been made crisper. But deja vu feel makes it an ordinary affair. The film is about eight people and an interview that changes their lives.
Cinematographer Packiaraj, an assistant of Nirav Shah, cranks the camera. He seems to shouldered major burden in ensuring everything is caught glossy and engaging. The movie is produced by ARS Sunder and P Thiru under the banner Future Film Factory International. They deserve to be applauded for bankrolling a different cinema. Background score makes it a racy and riveting affair at several places.
Jayakumar, Jiiva Ravi and ‘Kadhal’ Kannan, Aira Agarwal, Anmol Sandhu and Sahana p[lay part of their movie. A wannabe single room thriller is worth a watch, if you love excitement. But had there been more substance, the end product could have been great.
